Time, space & nature

Located on a dramatic headland overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Breac.House is the perfect place to leave the world behind. Designed to be part of the landscape both inside and out, Breac.House sits on Donegal's majestic Horn Head.

Arrive

House

Designed by award-winning local architects, and built by a team of local tradesmen, the house is spacious and striking while at the same time extremely sensitive to its surroundings, becoming part of the landscape rather than standing against it. Breac.House takes its name from our townland of Lurgabrack, which means the speckled shin — referring to the speckling of rock on the thin sloping Western-side of the head.

Arrive

Space

All spaces are designed to feel generous and connect guests to our magnificent views. Relax on your terrace, in our library, by the fireside in the lounge or in the garden. Enjoy our wood fired sauna in the garden or soak in a revitalising seaweed bath.

Arrive

Rooms

The house features finishes of natural, native materials and locally crafted furniture, fabrics and products. From handwoven tweed to local made pottery and locally quarried stone to handmade furniture, all of our rooms connect our guests to our location.

Arrive
