In Dunfanaghy (25 mins walk, 10 mins cycle, 5 mins drive)

  • Arnold’s Hotel Restaurant & Bar– traditional Irish cooking and welcoming Donegal hospitality. Food served in restaurant or bar area. (Booking essential : 074 9136208). 7 days.
  • **The Rusty Oven** - Superb quality sourdough pizzeria in very buzzy renovated courtyard of Patsy Dan’s bar, local hot spot (Booking strongly advised via The Rusty Oven website, or via OpenTable, with some walk-ins taken subject to availability.) <Open 7 days July to mid September, closed 14 Sept - 8 Oct incl, reopening 9 Oct for Fri / Sat / Sun nights>
  • Lizzie’s Diner/The Oyster Bar – no-frills, family style restaurant attached to pub with good home cooking (Booking advised : 074 9136789). Serving Wednesday to Sunday 6pm till 8pm (8.30pm on Sat).

In Port na Blagh (9 mins drive)

  • Cove Restaurant- innovative, modern restaurant. Booking essential at Cove Restaurant reservations Open Wednesday to Sunday in July / August, Thursday to Saturday in September.

In Creeslough (15 minutes drive)

  • **Braai** - exciting new restaurant opening, located at the rear of Rose's Bar. Reflecting the South African origin of the chef, expect a modern take on the South African BBQ plus a nicely curated wine list. Thursday to Monday for July, August, September.   • The Strand Road Bar & Kitchen – Excellent bar food served in a cosy, local pub. 7 days. Booking essential on 074 9135907

In Glen (25 mins drive)

  • **The Olde Glen Bar & Restaurant**– Head chef and friend Ciaran Sweeney serving highly accomplished modern Irish cooking in a beautiful old pub. A local institution now achieving national acclaim. Advance booking absolutely essential - online booking at www.oldeglen.ie (Tuesday to Saturday) .
In Downings (30 mins drive)
  • **Fisk** - superb contemporary seafood, great location at Harbour Bar, one of our absolute favourites ! Walk-in service only and early close. Summer hours Thursday / Friday (5pm-8pm), Saturday (1pm-8pm) and Sunday (1pm-5pm).
  • Goose Pizza - nice pizza and drinks menu served in renovated pub. Summer hours : open everyday (6pm - 9pm). Walk-ins only.
